Sansego Summer Success

Carlos

So far it’s been a strong summer for Sansego triathletes. Check out some of our member highlights:

After a flat tire at IRONMAN Tulsa, Carlos Sicupira Nunes Ferreira missed his Kona qualifier by just 1 spot (!!!)  But Carlos regrouped, remained focused and secured his Kona entry at IRONMAN Des Moines. We’ll see him on the Big Island in October!

Longtime STC standout Molly Smith was 3rd at IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d’ Alene, punching her ticket to St. George for the World Championships in October.

Steve Smith won his age group at XTERRA Maryland, earning himself a start at the XTERRA World Championships in Lake Molveno, Italy later this year.

Dennis Robinson went sub-6 at the Tahoe Trail 100km mountain bike race and, in doing so, claimed his slot in the iconic Leadville 100.  Also earning a Leadville bib – and a coveted gold coin – is Sansego athlete Brad Gravelle, who impressively completed the 3-day Leadville Stage Race in under 9 hours.

Traversing 200 km of frozen lava fields in the highlands of Iceland, Jennifer Roberts completed the challenging The RIFT gravel race (We ‘re sure you have some tales to tell, Jennifer!)

Finally, our very own STC coach Matt Smith returned to racing after a 4-year hiatus, and snagged 2nd overall in the Inaugural Steamboat Gravel Triathlon.

Way to represent, Team Sansego!
